BAPC (Business Analysis Practitioner Certificate)Opens in a new tab. is another project-driven course offered by BA Blocks and intended for more advanced business analysis practitioners.

The practicum will guide you through a full-scale digital transformation initiative in a simulated organisational environment.

Over the course of the 16-week program, you will act as part of the team working on an IPMS project in the intellectual property management domain and produce the deliverables needed to create a new high-quality digital product.

Note that, to gain access to BAPC, you’ll need at least 3 years of business analysis experience or a completed FOBA course.

At the start of the course, you will be presented with a project and a case study containing all the information you’ll need to produce deliverables.

Your simulated job will be to interpret stakeholder needs into deliverables based on the stakeholders’ perspectives as presented in the case study.

This means that you will experience all stages of the software development life cycle (SDLC) for large-scale projects and learn how to produce deliverables following the guidance of a senior business analystOpens in a new tab.. While working on the project, you’ll be faced with all the challenges of delivering in complex business scenarios and get the feel for what it’s like to work in a tens real-world environment.

In this simulated project, you will be onboarded as an intermediate business analyst, so you’re expected to have a grasp of basic BA concepts, tools, and techniques. As you work on producing deliverables, you’ll have access to the toolkit utilised by large organisations and will use the following tools for sharing, collaboration, modelling, and analysis:

  • SharePoint
  • Visio
  • Office 365
  • Azure DevOps
  • MS Teams

The BAPC program is fully aligned with the latest IIBA’s BABOK v3 standard and implements the industry’s best practices, tools, and techniques.

By the time you complete the course, you will have covered all 6 knowledge areas as defined by IIBA. Completing the BAPC program will earn you 40 IIBA PD hours /CDUs counting toward your IIBA CBAP certification or re-certification.
